There are so many good things that come in twos:

I could go on, but you know what’s NOT on the list… Building a bunk bed twice, especially when you only bought one.

So yeah, I switched one side, and to repair, I had to take most of the bed apart. I thought I read all the labels but not so much.

Finally, I got it all done again and even had time to do a little shopping at my local Mattress Firm.

The bunk bed called for a full mattress with a max of 6″ at the top and 8″ at the bottom.  I chose 6″ and 10″ so if any abled, body adults would be comfortable on a supportive mattress on the bottom.

Mattress Firm had many options and an easy way to try any bed out to test and try. I had a fabulous salesperson who answered all my questions and was super attentive to me and my 2 year old son.

Here’s what I learned:

1️⃣ Come in with knowing your budget.

2️⃣ Make a list of any needs, back issues, or sleeping habits.

3️⃣ Know your specs: bed size, ideal level of firmness.

4️⃣ Lay on the mattress as you would at home to fully assess the beds comfort. It’s odd that most people have a habit of laying on their back to test a bed “coffin style”😬, I blame TV and movies.

5️⃣ Worried about bringing your kids along? They have a play area, candy, and water! My toddler was also able to move around, and I could still keep an eye on him.

6️⃣ Budgets don’t match the bed you need? Ask your sales associate about their credit program. When I repaired my credit, this was the first place that approved me when no other place would.  That $1k approval turned our empty Portland townhouse into a home.

7️⃣ Want more? Mattress Firm has outlet mattresses. Every bed doesn’t work for everyone, and the returns go through a deep sanitizing and cleaning. Call your sales associate and ask what is in stock.
