This ORC, I am tackling a spare bedroom in my home and transforming it into a pre-teens D R E A M!! Let’s hope my client agrees.

Our home is a multi generational home, and my son (#3) gave up his room for my Mom. He’s been staying in our #2 sons room since we cosleep still, so he’s been missing having his official own space. I am hoping to change that over the next 8 weeks.

Here were some of his requests:

• Black, blue, and gold in the room
• Big bed
• Neon lighting
• A desk

I did eventually talk him out of a desk (bad mom??) but all of my boys rarely sit at desks to do anything. They all like the floor, bed, and couch. My hubs said when he was growing up, they HAD to sit at a desk or table to get homework done. Well, around here, we have options, just get it done and do your best is the goal.

Based on that intel, here is the inspiration for his room:

The current state of the room, oh my, does it need love!! This room was first my office, then guest bedroom, and became whatever my husband put in it. So issa mess and the bar is really low because anything is better than this. LOL!!

Welp…I’m off to pick out paint and clear this room out.
